PSIS Semarang is scheduled to host Persikad in the eighth week of Group A of the 2026/2027 Pegadaian Championship at Jatidiri Stadium in Semarang on Sunday, November 1, 2026. According to Radar Solo, the match will kick off at 3:30 p.m. Western Indonesian Time. The encounter gives both teams an opportunity to restore their confidence while improving their positions in the standings.
Separated by Two Points
Radar Solo reported that Persikad is in fourth place with 12 points from seven matches. The Depok-based team has recorded four wins and three defeats, scoring 11 goals and conceding 13.
PSIS is in sixth place with 10 points after receiving a one-point deduction from I.League at the start of the season. Without the deduction, PSIS would have 11 points from three wins, two draws, and two defeats. Mahesa Jenar has so far scored nine goals and conceded seven.
The two-point gap means the result could affect the competition between the two teams in Group A. A victory could help Persikad maintain its position, while three additional points would give PSIS an opportunity to draw closer to or overtake its opponent.
Both Teams Looking to Bounce Back
Media Indonesia noted that PSIS and Persikad are both coming into the match after suffering defeats. PSIS lost 2-1 to PSMS Medan on October 25, while Persikad fell 3-2 to PSPS Riau on October 24.
Persikad coach Achmad Zulkifli said his team had conducted a comprehensive evaluation following the defeat. Preparations then focused on improving the team's performance before the trip to Semarang. He also assessed that PSIS has good squad depth, but urged Persikad's players not to be intimidated and to show greater fighting spirit.
In their last five matches, PSIS recorded two wins, one draw, and two defeats. Persikad secured two wins and suffered three defeats. Those records show that both teams are still searching for consistency ahead of their meeting at Jatidiri.
PSIS Relies on Preparation and Home Advantage
PSIS coach Widodo C Putro said his team had prepared as thoroughly as possible by refining its tactical and mental approach. He hopes the players understand their respective duties and can secure all three points while playing at home.
Widodo also urged the players to maintain their concentration throughout the match, avoid overconfidence, and be able to improvise if circumstances on the field do not go according to plan. Support from the home crowd could provide an advantage for PSIS, but playing at home does not automatically guarantee victory.
PSIS previously suffered a 3-1 defeat to Persiraja Banda Aceh at Jatidiri Stadium. That result serves as a reminder that home advantage must still be accompanied by disciplined play and the ability to remain focused until the match ends.
Past Record Is No Guarantee
In two recorded meetings in 2013, PSIS defeated Persikad on both occasions. PSIS won 5-0 at home on June 9 and secured a 1-0 away victory on February 9.
However, those past results do not fully reflect the teams' current strength because their players, coaches, and management have changed. This match will be determined more by their current readiness, tactical execution, and ability to respond to last week's negative results.
Radar Solo stated that the match can be watched through the Vidio application. The encounter at Jatidiri will test PSIS's ability to make the most of a home fixture and Persikad's ability to remain in contention near the top of the standings.
