The HMD Pulse Pro 2nd Edition has appeared in a product listing from a retailer in Thailand, indicating an update to the Pulse Pro launched in April 2024. According to GSMArena, the device offers upgrades to the chipset, display refresh rate, and storage capacity without major changes to its exterior design.
Helio G99 and 120Hz display
The product listing, shared by a tipster on X, appears to come from the Nokia Official Shop. The HMD Pulse Pro 2nd Edition is listed at 4,990 Thai baht, or about 148 US dollars. At the time the report was published, there was no information about an official announcement or availability in other markets.
The listed specifications include a display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. The listing claims that the chipset delivers 45 percent better performance than the previous generation, but it does not explain the testing method used to produce that figure.
The device is also said to have 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. For photography, the product listing mentions a 50MP main camera and a 50MP selfie camera, along with the label “AI Camera.” The phone is shown in black with a design that appears identical to the previous Pulse Pro.
Upgrades over the original Pulse Pro
The original Pulse Pro uses a 6.65-inch display with 720p resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the Unisoc T606 and is available with up to 8GB of RAM and a maximum of 128GB of storage. If the retailer’s details are accurate, the new edition offers a smoother display, a different chipset, and twice the storage capacity in its highest configuration.
The same tipster previously described this device as an upgraded European version. That information included a 6.56-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, although GSMArena noted that the screen size might be a typographical error. The leak also mentioned a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization, a 2MP secondary sensor, a 5,000mAh battery, and 20W charging.
Other models reportedly getting second editions
In addition to the Pulse Pro, the HMD Fusion and Crest Max are reportedly set to receive updates bearing the “2nd Edition” name. According to the same tipster, the Fusion will use the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, while the Crest Max will be equipped with the Dimensity 7025. This information remains a leak and was not accompanied by an official announcement mentioned in the report.
Second-edition naming is not new to the Nokia- and HMD-branded device lineups. The Nokia C2 2nd Edition was previously released in 2022. However, a product appearing at a retailer does not always lead to a launch, as shown by the Pulse 2 Pro, which was listed by a Swiss retailer ahead of IFA 2025 but was ultimately not released.
Positioned below the Pulse 2T Pro
Earlier in the same month, the tipster also revealed the Pulse 2T Pro with higher-end specifications. The device is said to feature a 6.78-inch 120Hz OLED display, a Helio G100 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 50MP selfie camera.
The Pulse 2T Pro is also rumored to have a 6,000mAh battery with 33W charging, IP64 certification, and a dot-matrix display on the back. Based on those details, the model appears to be positioned one tier above the Pulse Pro 2nd Edition listed by the Thai retailer.
