Reports about the disbursement of Rp900,000 in People’s Welfare Direct Cash Assistance resurfaced in October 2026. However, as of October 21, 2026, the government had not announced whether the program would continue or provided a schedule for a new disbursement phase. At the same time, a link emerged claiming to provide registration for phase five of the 2026 Kesra Cash Assistance program.
No disbursement schedule announced
Kabar24 reported that the Ministry of Social Affairs had not issued official information regarding the continuation of the Kesra Cash Assistance program in 2026. Therefore, it also remains uncertain whether the widely circulated amount of Rp900,000 applies this year.
The most recent disbursement took place from October through December 2025, with a final deadline of December 31, 2025. During that period, each beneficiary household received Rp300,000 per month, paid as a three-month lump sum totaling Rp900,000. The program targeted approximately 35 million households at the time. As of December 10, 2025, the Ministry of Social Affairs said that more than 28 million households had received the assistance.
The disbursement history from the final quarter of 2025 does not guarantee that the program will be implemented again during the same period. Social assistance is also usually distributed in stages, without a uniform disbursement date.
Phase five link declared a hoax
Amid the continuing uncertainty, a Facebook post published on October 12, 2026, offered a registration link for phase five of the Rp900,000 Kesra Cash Assistance program. The post claimed that the assistance was available to all Indonesians and was an official Ministry of Social Affairs program provided free of charge.
According to Liputan6.com Fact Check, the link led to a digital form requesting personal information, including the applicant’s full name and active Telegram number. Its investigation concluded that the claim regarding the phase five registration link for the 2026 Kesra Cash Assistance program was a hoax.
Liputan6.com also reported the Ministry of Social Affairs’ clarification that the ministry has never created a registration link or website for obtaining assistance. Beneficiaries are selected based on government socioeconomic data and a verification process, not through forms distributed on social media or through chain messages.
How to check and propose data
People cannot independently register for Kesra Cash Assistance with any certainty of receiving it. According to Kabar24, beneficiaries are selected by the government based on the National Unified Social and Economic Database and verification results. Residents who believe they meet the criteria may propose or update their data through the official Cek Bansos application.
Beneficiary status can be checked through the official Cek Bansos website or application using information matching the applicant’s identity card. However, the results do not prove that the 2026 Kesra Cash Assistance will definitely be disbursed because the program itself has not been officially announced. Submitting data also does not automatically result in someone being designated as a beneficiary.
For Village Fund Cash Assistance, Liputan6.com explained that proposals can be submitted through the village government. Prospective beneficiary data will be recorded and verified, then discussed at a village meeting before beneficiaries are designated in accordance with applicable regulations.
Beware of requests for personal data and money
The public is advised to wait for announcements from the Ministry of Social Affairs or other relevant ministries and not rely on social media reports as a basis for expecting disbursement. Links requesting personal information should be avoided, especially if they do not come from official government channels.
Social assistance is distributed free of charge. Therefore, requests for money under the pretext of registration or expediting disbursement should be treated with caution. While awaiting confirmation regarding Kesra Cash Assistance, beneficiary households can check regular programs such as the Family Hope Program and the Basic Food Program, also known as BPNT, and ensure that their civil registration data is accurate.
