The government is still finalizing the distribution of the 2026 Wage Subsidy Assistance, or BSU, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance. The program, covering the period from October through December 2026, is planned to provide a total of Rp900,000 to each eligible worker. However, the disbursement schedule has not been confirmed because implementing regulations and the collection of prospective recipient data are still in progress.

Distribution procedures are still being prepared

Manpower Minister Yassierli said the Ministry of Manpower was still preparing the distribution of the BSU and coordinating with the Ministry of Finance. He made the statement when he was met in Jakarta on Tuesday, as reported by ANTARA.

Kontan.co.id also reported on October 27, 2026, that the two ministries were still finalizing the distribution procedures and scheme. As the process continues, the government has not announced a definite date for disbursing the assistance to workers. Recipient criteria are also still awaiting official regulations that will provide the basis for implementing the program.

To be paid in a lump sum for three months

The BSU for the fourth quarter of 2026 is planned at Rp300,000 per month for October, November, and December. Rather than being paid separately each month, it will be distributed as a lump sum, meaning eligible workers will receive a total of Rp900,000.

The BSU plan was announced by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto after a limited meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. The program is one of the government’s economic stimulus measures for the fourth quarter of 2026.

Target recipients and budget requirements

The government is targeting around 13.3 million workers to receive the BSU. The budget required to implement the program is said to be nearly Rp12 trillion.

Although the assistance amount, coverage period, and target number of recipients have been announced, the implementation process has not been completed. The lack of a confirmed schedule means workers need to await further government announcements regarding the disbursement date, recipient requirements, and distribution mechanism.

Workers urged to be alert to fraud

Official information about the BSU can be monitored through the Ministry of Manpower’s communication channels and the program’s official website. If the website is not yet accessible, workers are urged to wait for an official announcement and avoid using unverified alternative links.

The Ministry of Manpower emphasized the importance of vigilance to prevent workers from falling victim to fraud carried out in the name of the BSU or the ministry. Until the regulations and schedule are announced, information about the disbursement should be verified through official government channels.
