OnePlus has set October 29 as the launch date for the Ace 7 series in China. According to GSMArena.com, the lineup consists of the OnePlus Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro. Both are also available for preorder through Oppo’s official online store in the country.
Two models with different chipsets
OnePlus differentiates the two models through their chipsets. The Ace 7 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V series, while the Ace 7 Pro will use the standard version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
This information indicates that the Pro designation will not be the only distinction within the series. However, the GSMArena.com report did not explain the performance differences between the two chipsets or how they might affect everyday use.
Active cooling for gaming
The Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro are confirmed to feature OnePlus’ Wind-Chaser Gaming Engine. Both devices will also be equipped with internal cooling fans that use a dual-airflow design.
The inclusion of internal fans highlights OnePlus’ focus on temperature management, particularly when the phones are handling demanding workloads such as gaming. However, there is no information yet about the fan size, noise level, power consumption, or test results for the cooling system.
